I am a qualified teacher and native German speaker from North Rhine-Westphalia, the central western part of Germany, and I relocated to England in 1991. I have been teaching in Secondary Schools, Further and Higher Education and as a Private Tutor since 2000. My students are private and business clients, school children and adults in evening classes. I have experience in teaching German to all levels and offer a personalised and friendly service.

I have also got a Masters degree in History and Politics and have specialised in historical and political developments of Germany since 1871, the founding of the German Empire under Otto von Bismarck. Over the years I have developed an interest in different aspects of German culture defined in literature, art, music and German language.  

 

I am a registered member of the Tutor's Association (MTA), Society for Education and Training (SET) and have Enhanced DBS Clearance (2025).
